My stocks could be overvalued, but I don’t bother to babysit them. The tcost and stress of babysitt is too high. My firewall would break, and the volatility would /boil over/.
I do need to reduce my positions in low-yield and unproven stocks. They are at higher risk of getting overvalued.
I have no realistic hope for rental income or capital appreciation from a cash position of USD 350k or even higher.
In contrast, with my 3 properties I feel confident about rental yield + good chance of capital appreciation within 10Y.
I much prefer taking up an entire rental house and then give one room to someone else, but this may not be possible in a SD.
Gold requires holding term. Long term can be 20Y. The negative yield might become unbearable.
Gold has negative yield i.e. carry costs like a rent. I hope this can be small.
